Tanka very much
for reading my offerings
for NaPoWriMo
two thousand fifteen A.D.
The mission is accomplished.

Until next time…

Pen the ultimate
in poetry perfection
for personal pride.
A poignant poem, perhaps,
peppered with pearl promises

Ho hum! Blah! Blah! Blah!
You’re at it again, I see.
Shove it up your area!
Autocorrect saved mein butt…
messed up the syllable count!

Apologies: Got a little frustrated with my Kindle today!

I become a ghost
barely visible to you.
Seen for a moment;
a fleeting apparition
from the corner of your eye.

Four smiling buskers
serenading as we eat.
Music to dine for.
Perfect coordination
for a Sunday afternoon.

I have a wonderful volunteering job coordinating happy, smiley buskers for a local Arts venue. I am blessed.

Based on a true story:

Was it just a dream?
Did I hear the poor man scream
as boiling water
poured from coffee pot to lap?
Pray for man with scalded nads.

Twenty-five days and
my life is still trying to
get up this great big
hill of poems for a desti…
Drat! It didn’t work!

Blue peacock feather
Watching us dance from afar
Weary-eyed cyclops
Tendrils waving on the breeze
Beckoning, calling, waiting

NaPoWriMo: Day Twenty-three

Inspired by a picture on the wall of The Art House, “Butterfly Leaf” by Sarah B.

Butterfly on leaf
Multicoloured nectar thief
Sips from bluebell cup
When her fill is taken, up!
Flits skyward towards the sun

Time to take a trip;
venture into the city
to visit the ‘Norm’.
I doubt he will be doing
anything spectacular.
